To my knowledge, no one in Virginia sells packages. Most packages are sold from Tx, Fl or Ga. I am not familiar enough with the producers to feel comfortable recommending one over the other.

Hello,

I am a graphic design student working on a project introducing suburban homeowners to the privilege and bounty of beekeeping, we have just begun researching this topic and I was hoping to take this class. If not any resources or tips would be greatly appreciated, even if I could sit in on the class for a few hours and take notes perhaps?

Hi Walt!

Our beekeeping class is currently filled, unfortunately. However, you should check out Lewis Ginter. They offer a course in Feb/March that may not be filled yet.

Also, I encourage you to come to one of our club’s meetings. We have a focused topic for each night, but we also have a Q&A session where newcomers (and old timers too!) ask questions and the crowd gives advice. It’s a great way to learn about bees from people who have been messing with them for years.
